T O P I C R E V I E WLovelyAries86I have this aspect. Do you also? What are your experiences with it? Read this partial description I found online and tell me what you do/don't agree with and I'll do the same:-----"These people hunger for emotional inspiration and nourishment, but they can be like a bottomless pit in this regard. Or, their hopes can be too lofty and unrealistic, so the undefined prize they are searching for is forever elusive. At times, they feel very much at mercy of their emotions, yet they have a hard time truly understanding or defining their emotional worlds. In all likelihood, they are searching for unconditional love--both to give it and to receive it. Yet, their own faith and trust in others is subject to huge swings. They want more than anything to trust their loved ones, yet when they do, part of them is suspicious of their own trusting hearts, and they worry that they trust too much. Often, these issues stem from a childhood in which the nurturing was inconsistent. In relationships, quite ironically, these emotional souls can be hard to reach. They have a hard time committing to any one path, and they can very easily sidestep difficult issues. They are psychic sponges who absorb the emotions of others. They are extremely sensitive to the emotional "climate" of any given place, setting, or situation. In some cases, people with this aspect in their natal charts project Neptune onto their environment, and thus attract Neptunian people and circumstances into their lives. Some, for example, attract partners who are elusive, addicted, irresponsible, or unwilling to commit." Famous People: Lisa Bonet, Frank Capra, Geena Davis, Robert Downey Jr., Sally Field, Brendan Fraser, Marilyn Monroe.LovelyAries86First off...I'm a very solid, realistic person. So it irks me how Neptune must ALWAYS be described as the opposite, since it certainly doesn't describe me. I do hunger for emotional, spiritual & mental growth though. Which I love about myself! My Sag influences add to that, I know. Unconditional love is nice, yes. I welcome it, yes. I do sometimes struggle with trust though only because most people are full of sh*t after awhile. They have great intentions but not enough follow-through! That's all. Lol. I have no problem committing to something/someone. I'm Cap Mars and my Neptune is actually in Cap. I am just choosy about my commitments! I'll be with you through thick & thin as long as you aren't treating me badly or taking me for granted. I'm not a fan of wasting my time OR yours, not at all. I'm indeed very sensitive to my environment around me and I read most people quite easily. I do often attract "Neptune like" people who are lost, confused, or hurting who are seeking a "solid rock" to lean on. True! But they aren't the ONLY people that I attract, though. And I've learned to establish boundaries with people like that because they will suck you dry -- which my Aries Sun will not tolerate for too long. sisI am a double cap, moon gemini, mars, neptune & nn in the 12th (11th ), moon in the 6th (5th )I agree with the description. Pretty much with everything it says...Also, another manifestation of this aspect which rings so true for me;Neptune encourages the person to chase the rainbows, but whenever he/she starts chasing her/his dreams he/ she feels insecure. Afterall moon needs security, to have roots. Wishing on a star does not bound well with this need. But whenever he/she chooses security over her/his dreams, she feels emotional discontentment and a deep longing to make his/her dreams come true...Plus, all the people I know who have moon/neptune - hard aspect are drug users. Mostly weed though. LovelyAries86 quote:Originally posted by sis:Plus, all the people I know who have moon/neptune - hard aspect are drug users. Mostly weed though. Weed is alright from time to time. Care to inform me? I'm glad we agree about this Moon Opposite Neptune stuff. I'm dreamy and compassionate, yeah. But I'm also not a fool and I'm very grounded. LovelyAries86 quote:Originally posted by sis:I'll take dw please. weed&wine :P Here we go... Faith quote:I actually don't know anything about t-squares, grand crosses. Etc. Care to inform me? A t-square is when three planets form a triangle, where two planets oppose each other, and both of them are square a third planet, the apex. All three planets will be in the same modality usually (cardinal, fixed, or mutable), unless there is an out-of-sign aspect (for instance, if two planets are at 29 degrees of a mutable sign, and a third planet is at 1 degree of a cardinal sign.)So in my case, I have a mutable t-square:12 Sag Neptune opposes 16 Gemini Mars. Both square the apex, my 18 Pisces moon.A grand cross looks like a box, where there is a planet in each sign of the modality, all aspecting each other within 6 degrees (or whatever orb you use.) So if I had a planet between 12-18 Virgo, then I would have a grand cross. When someone else has a planet between 12-18 Virgo, we'd say it forms a grand cross with my t-square. Makes sense? LovelyAries86 quote:Originally posted by Faith: Makes sense? Sort of! Lol. I'll get it figured out after a few reads. As far as I know, I don't have those. But I do have a Grand Trine in Water (Kero was the first to point that out to me). VacantGazereditChocI have it [Cancer Moon opp Cap Nep] and I am a bottomless pit of stupid effing feelings BUT unless you're reaaaaaaaaaaaaaally close to me, you could never know how ridiculously emotional I can be.My instincts are strong but I can't always tell if my intuition is actually correct or I'm being delusional. My pessimism is almost always working at full force too.Love can never be truly unconditional and I do consider myself to be deeply idealistic [my Ven/Uranus opp is mostly responsible for that tbh].theunknownI'm from the capricorn neptune generation so all the ones with this aspect are Cancer moons. Honestly,Cancer moons already hold in and dont trust easily so I don't know what to tell you. I think that one aspect doesn't cause serious damage unless your chart is very neptune heavyThe ones I know with neptune heavy are fbrn more insecure than the Cancer moons typically are. I think home life being foggy is a big deal toi. Like there's a lot of passive aggressive energy at home and there's a lot of illusion to aspire to.the89freespiritThere's an article on my blog about Moon-Neptune, if you guys are interested. It's more generally about all the Moon-Neptune aspects, not just the square or the opposition. But, you might find it helpful: http://astroarena12.blogspot.com/2014/12/moon-neptune-aspects-daydreamer.html I've got the trine, so I know that's less difficult. I will say that setting emotional boundaries has been tough for me, in the past. But, I'm glad I'm learning how to do that. Realizing that I don't have to just give, give, give to people emotionally all the time and that I can conserve a lot of that energy for myself (without being "selfish") has been great for me. ------------------Check out My Astrology Blog: http://astroarena12.blogspot.comLovelyAries86 quote:Originally posted by Choc:I have it [Cancer Moon opp Cap Nep] and I am a bottomless pit of stupid effing feelings BUT unless you're reaaaaaaaaaaaaaally close to me, you could never know how ridiculously emotional I can be.My pessimism is almost always working at full force too.I'm mostly optimistic. This part in particular stood out to me:"So, as a Moon-Neptune child, you were a kid who really lived on a different wavelength. You found it easy to get completely lost within your imagination, to the degree that your parents regularly had to pull you out of it, from time to time. You developed a strong need for these games of make believe, as they allowed you to enter some magical world that you otherwise couldn’t. The average Moon-Neptune child is also very empathic, from an early age, easily able to pick up on people’s feelings. Both the Moon and Neptune are very caring energies and the combination of these two planets often symbolizes a bleeding heart, which you probably were from the start. Our Moon also represents our relationship with our primary nurturing figure, whether it was a mother or a father. For a person with Moon in aspect to Neptune, there’s usually a profound sense of merging within this relationship, for better or for worse. Many Moon-Neptune people have a nurturing figure who subtly demands for the child to take care of them. This parent is emotionally stunted and dysfunctional, possibly even mentally ill, with some sort of personality or mood disorder. They may also have an addictive personality, as Neptune represents addictions of all sorts. The parent could’ve struggled with drugs or alcohol or maybe just with finding some way to evade their responsibilities and realities. As a result, they looked to their child, who was often quickly responsive to them, for comfort and support. This sets up a pattern for you, Moon-Neptune, of being the one to compulsively take care of others."Very well stated. Thank you for sharing.
